Matcha Sawa

| /

    • This powdered green tea has traditionally been used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Matcha is made using pure luxury grade Tencha leaves, a tea variety that is shaded a few weeks before plucking. The shading forces the plants to produce a higher chlorophyll content, which gives the leaves a rich green color and high level of antioxidants.

Matcha is prepared in a bowl (chawan) and mixed with simmering water with a bamboo whisk (chasen). The invigorating infusion is of a bright emerald green and offers a dense taste with hints of spinach, slightly sweet.
