All Aline Bertin's ceramics are handcrafted from start to finish. Each piece is unique even if it is done in a similar style. Its glazes, also made by hand, are prepared from raw materials to obtain pastel or matte finishes. The striped cups are hand carved to evoke the lines of the landscapes. We love these utility cups for their functional and safe appearance for drinking tea.
"Originally from the east coast, I draw inspiration from the natural world and textures of the ocean and the night sky. While in Montreal, I studied at Centre de Céramique Bonsecours and at Concordia University in fine arts. In my ceramic work I tend to fuse elements of these univers."
Each piece, shaped by hand, is unique and original.
The patterns may vary slightly from the photos.
